What A Generator Rental Includes
A rental covers the unit, delivery, placement, connection, a load test before we leave, scheduled fuel, and collection when you are done. Our fleet runs from small towable units around 20kW, which suit a wedding marquee or a small remodel, up to 1MW trailer generators for construction sites and industrial work, all diesel except a handful of gas units for indoor-adjacent applications. Everything is Tier 4 Final certified, which public works contracts and air-quality-restricted sites require, and we carry sound-attenuated units for events where nobody should be able to hear the power supply. Renting makes sense whenever the need has an end date: construction generator rental before the utility energizes a site, event generators for a festival or a wedding, commercial generator rental while a permanent unit is being installed or repaired, and industrial generator rental for a plant shutdown or a seasonal peak. If the requirement turns out to be permanent, we will tell you, and the same crew installs commercial standby systems and home standby units when that is the better answer.

Most rental complaints trace back to one of two things: the unit was sized wrong, or the fuel ran out. Raw lots, tear-downs, tenant improvements and phased builds where the service drop is weeks or months away. Construction generators run the tools, the trailer, the lighting and the lift, and the unit moves as the job moves.
Weddings and private events
Ranch venues, estates, beaches and vineyards with nothing like enough power at the panel. Wedding generators need to be quiet, hidden and delivered hours before guests arrive, and the load list is usually catering, lighting, sound and climate control.

How A Rental Works
Four steps, and the first one is where the job is actually won.
1. Size it off the real load
Send us the equipment list or the critical load list. We calculate running kW and, more importantly, starting kW, then pick a unit with enough margin that it never stalls on a motor start. This is the step that decides whether the rental goes well.
2. Delivery and connection
Flatbed or tow delivery anywhere in the county. Our crew places the unit on firm level ground, lands the leads, ties the ground, runs a load test with your equipment on it, and walks whoever is on site through the panel and the shutdown before leaving.
3. Fuel and monitoring
Scheduled fuel delivery is inside the rate on multi-day rentals, and remote monitoring reports fuel level, run hours and any fault to us directly. We dispatch before the tank gets low rather than after somebody calls.
4. Collection
Call when the job or the event is done and the unit is collected within a couple of days, with the ground left as we found it. Long-term rentals go month to month with no term to sign.
Sizes, Trailers, Fuel Policy And Distribution
What people generally mean when they call about a rental, and the options underneath it:
Trailer generators and towable units
The workhorse of the fleet. A self-contained diesel unit on a road-legal trailer with an integral fuel tank, weatherproof enclosure and outlet panel, sized from 20kW to 1MW. It tows to the site, sits on its own feet and needs nothing but fuel and a connection.
Construction generator rental
Monthly rates, repositioning as the job moves, and distribution gear on the same delivery. Sized off the tools, the lift, the temporary lighting and the site trailer, with margin for the compressor or crane that starts hardest. Tier 4 Final certification is mandatory on most public works.
Event and wedding generator rental
Priced by the day or the weekend, delivered early, placed out of sight and downwind, and quiet enough that nobody notices it during a ceremony or a speech. We size off the caterer’s and the production company’s equipment lists rather than a guess, because both routinely need more than the venue expects.
Industrial and commercial rental
Larger units for plant shutdowns, seasonal peaks, utility work and covering a permanent machine under repair. Those come with a paralleling option, load bank testing where the application needs it, and a fuel contract sized to the run time.
Fuel policy
Single-day rentals come fueled and are returned as delivered. Multi-day and long-term rentals quote fuel separately, metered by actual use, with scheduled refill delivery included in the rate. Emergency same-day refills carry a trip charge because they sit outside the route. There is no environmental or fuel surcharge added at the end.
Cables, distribution and transformers
A generator alone rarely finishes the job. Camlock cables, distribution panels, spider boxes, temporary panels and step-down transformers all come from the same yard and arrive on the same truck, which saves a second vendor and a second delivery window.
Pre-stage contracts
For businesses in the shutoff footprint, we stage a unit on your property for the season, keep it fueled and tested, and monitor regional conditions so it is ready before the shutoff rather than after. Cheaper than an emergency rental during a regional event, when everybody wants a machine at once.
What A Generator Rental Costs
Rentals are quoted as a flat daily, weekly or monthly rate plus fuel. Roughly, by size tier:
- 20kW to 25kW, suitable for a wedding, a small event or a light job site: broadly $150 to $350 a day, with weekly and monthly rates far cheaper per day.
- 50kW to 100kW, covering a mid-size construction site, a festival or a small commercial building: roughly $350 to $800 a day.
- 150kW to 300kW, for larger sites, commercial buildings and production: usually $800 to $1,800 a day, with monthly rates substantially better per day.
- 400kW to 1MW industrial units: quoted individually, and almost always taken monthly or seasonally rather than daily.
- Rental length. Monthly is dramatically cheaper per day than daily, and the crossover is at about a week. Tell us the real duration rather than the optimistic one.
- Sound rating, distribution gear, delivery distance and fuel schedule, all of which are quoted up front rather than added at the end.
Every rental is quoted flat, including delivery, connection, load test and collection. If the requirement turns out to be permanent, we will price a commercial standby install against the rental so you can see where the crossover is, and the same comparison works for industrial units. If owning makes more sense than renting, generator installation, service and repair all come from the same crew.

What size rental generator do I need?

We calculate running kW for everything on at once, then add the starting surge of the largest motor, which for a compressor, a pump or a crane is several times its running figure. A wedding with catering, lighting and sound is usually 20kW to 40kW. A mid-size construction site is 50kW to 150kW. A commercial building on critical load is 100kW to 300kW. Undersizing is the most common rental mistake and it shows up as a unit that stalls every time something starts.
How quickly can you deliver a rental generator?
Most rentals go out next day, and same day is often possible when the size you need is on the yard. Call in the morning and we will tell you honestly what is available. Larger units, sound-attenuated event units and busy spring and summer weekends book further ahead, so anything with a fixed date is worth reserving early rather than assuming.
Are your rental generators quiet enough for a wedding?
The sound-attenuated units are, which is why we use them for anything with a ceremony, a speech or a recorded performance attached. A standard construction-spec unit is not, and putting one behind a marquee is a mistake people only make once. We also place event units downwind and out of sight, and deliver hours ahead of guests so there is time to move anything that is not right.
